I used a Sunny Fitness bike w/the digital app for years before getting the Peloton. Worked fine, but you lose the ability to measure output/resistance in a reliable way.
Over time you'll know the speed equivalence of RPM/cadence so it doesn't bother me that the display doesn't show RPM all the time. (ie: 35 km/h = approx 90 RPM, 25 km/h = approx 70 RPM) The Schwinn bike does not display resistance levels. One tip I have if you're using the Peloton app is to go and try the Peloton bike at one of their showrooms.
Usual Cadence, it's maybe different aspect vary from person to person though, it's the cadence under constant velocity moving. As a case of roadrace it's the cadence under the peloton without diplomacy. Cadence Powered Maximum, it's the cadence which could make the rider's maximum power.
